 August & the Italian Factory Holiday

 

Every summer, our partner factories and stock house close for Europe's traditional August holiday. Orders placed during the month of August will ship in early September — If we happen to have your item in stock at our New York showroom, it will ship with our standard two-day service.

ButtonologyInc.com was launched as a means to reach a broader audience of home sewers, hobbyists, and collectors with our collection of Italian made buttons. We have an absolutely enormous collection of items, much larger than what is available on our website - while we're always adding styles, if you're looking for something specific, please send a photograph or idea to info@buttonologyinc.com and we'll help you through your inquiry.

 

Discounts

 

Orders that include 1500 pcs. or more of the same style, color, and size, can be eligible for a discount. Please contact us directly for bulk orders.



Where are our buttons manufactured?

 

Our buttons are manufactured in Italy, where the employees receive a living wage for their work.

 

Shipping

The majority of our in-stock orders will ship with Express 2-Day service to get your order to you as quickly as possible. If your item is not currently in stock, the estimated time to receive your order will be approximately 5-7 business days. Orders of $150 or more ship free to all U.S. addresses; for all other orders, Express shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your shipping destination.

 

Returns

Gross quantities (144 pcs.) may be returned within 30 days in original condition — see our Refund Policy for details. Sample orders (dozen quantities) and closeout items are non-refundable, so we recommend starting with a 12-piece sample to confirm color and feel before ordering a full gross.

 

Custom Orders

 

We make custom orders all the time! The process is relatively easy and adds only about a week to the lead time.

 

Your artwork will be programmed into a laser engraving machine and cuts each individual button with your logo. Since it takes some time to program all the machinery correctly, we unfortunately cannot provide samples of the item. We keep a large assortment of items we’ve previously had customized for the very purpose of showing them, so we can happily send you a few items to show you what your item would or could look like. Further details are below.

  • The minimum order quantity for a customized, logo’d order is just 1500 pcs.
  • The cost can vary based on the size and the chosen material of the button, but generally speaking it’s usually only .10¢-.15¢ additional per piece to add your very own logo or design.
